Noor Haveli

 Noor Haveli is one of the most enchanting heritage buildings of the Walled City of Lahore a beautifully preserved haveli that reflects the luxury, artistry, and cultural richness of Mughal and Sikh-era architecture. Hidden within the narrow, vibrant streets near Bhatti Gate, this haveli is a stunning reminder of Lahore’s glorious past, where nobles once lived in structures brimming with beauty and craft.The haveli gets its name from the warm, glowing ambiance created by traditional chandeliers and lanterns that light up its interior hence the name “Noor Haveli,” meaning House of Light. As soon as you step inside, you are transported back in time. Intricate wooden balconies, carved jharokas, fresco-style walls, and antique décor reflect a lifestyle of refinement and artistic appreciation.

This haveli exists in Mohalla Pir Shirazi near Chowk Matti. This haveli is of Mughal period and occupied the area of 27 marla’s and there are nearly 32 rooms in this building. After partition the family shifted to this haveli is residing here to present. No repairments have been made in this structure. Currently, there are two sharers of this building. At ground floor 3 tenants are residing and doing work of shoe manufacturing.One of the most captivating aspects of Noor Haveli is its rooftop, which offers a breathtaking view of Lahore’s old skyline. From here, one can see domes, minarets, winding alleys, and the living history of a city that has thrived for centuries. Today, Noor Haveli also serves as a cultural venue and guesthouse, allowing visitors to experience old Lahore from the inside.
